I hate Math

I wasted 20 minutes answering a 56 item quiz just to be told that I am indeed a loser.

You scored as French/Spanish/OtherLanguage, You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in a foreign language, especially French or Spanish as they have a greater use in today’s world. But other languages could be useful to you as well, such as Chinese, Japanese, German, Italian, or many others. With a major in a foreign language you could teach, or work for a company as a translator or foreign correspondant.

It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would–it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. A minor in a foriegn language is useful for ANY major. Also, business or political science are great minors for a foreign language major. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

WHAT MAJOR IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

I knew I should’ve taken something artsy fartsy instead.

Damn Calculus, damn math.

TDP presents GM 2007!

My company is one of the major sponsors in this year’s Graphika Manila Conference on August 11, 2007. This is me doing the duty of letting everyone know. Contrary to what you may think, I don’t have free tickets to spare. You just have to get them the old fashioned way.

Lazy.

The weekend has probably been the most uneventful, boring, drag-out-of-bed, weekend I ever had. I woke up Saturday afternoon with my muscles aching and my body feeling like I was tackled by ten football players and I’m on the bottom of the pile. After a quick bath and an hour doing stuff, I went to Glorietta to see Kitch and her cousins to watch the latest Harry Potter movie, which I was not exactly enthusiastic about.

I won’t be writing what I think about the latest Harry Potter movie — I spent half of the time sleeping in the theater. Either it became tedious to watch, or I was really bored that time. My apologies to fanatics, but I felt cheated out of my Php 160.

(This is gonna be a boring post. And I’m stumped thinking how to make it less boring. This would have to wait. Or end here.)

Waking up at 4:30a

I moved back to the morning shift a few weeks ago.

After five months of doing logo changes, banner edits, color comps and templates, I grew tired of the stuff. I guess I wasn’t made for looking after somebody else’s work. Plus, I can’t bear the idea of getting paid that much for doing that little. I spoke, management listened and did something about it. My body clock went back to normal and I get to do normal, daily things again like sleeping at night, working during the day, hanging out for a couple of beers on Fridays, spending 2-day weekends, etc.

My normal workload came back, too. I was so excited to working on new comps, I finished everything queued up to me that day. Quoting our Creative Director, “I’m out for blood”.

Now that’s probably the nicest thing that happened to me (career-wise, at least) last month.

In the spirit of nice things, one of my officemates, Aliza celebrated her birthday last week at El Pueblo. We threw her a surprise party the day before that. Here are a few photos of us and the raggedy asexual mascot, Birdie:

I’m back, baby!
