Change.

I’ve moved (again) to a different site. I’d have to contact Tew and let her know about this. Follow this link:

Change is good.

Under the influence of oversleeping

I was supposed to do an entry about how the typhoon Millenio woke me up on that dreaded day– cutting off electricity to the entire country, leaving my phone dead and missing a text message that work was cancelled that night, and found myself hanging out with a couple of officemates who shared the same fate at 7-11 –but I think everybody’s heard enough of everybody’s stories. And besides, I already summarized it in one sentence, or phrase, depending on how hyphens work for you.

So, in the tradition of people who blog in 2-3 week intervals, I’m going for the bullets. Take cover, or call John Woo.

  • I’ve began exploring my already-vast musical penchant, tackling almost every genre, old or new. Ever since local bands/singers doing themes for primetime shows became a trend, I’ve ditched mainstream and decided to head for the still-liberated bands. For the optimist, there are still a few groups who haven’t been commercialized yet, at least. I’ve been nagging friends to support local indie bands to the extent that they’d still remain indie after a couple of months.

It is generally known that current mainstream acts started on that level, until one of the TV networks hire them to do a song that would play in every household 24/7. The trend of pretty boy “rock” bands is an entirely different thing, where one becomes famous just by being good-looking. Not that I have anything against it, but I think people should start digging up their high school music notebooks.

I’d be a hypocrite to say that I have completely abdicated mainstream, though. Just go to my last.fm account and see for yourself.

  • I lack sleep this week.
  • My uber-LSS would be Architecture in Helsinki’s It’5. Though Broken Social Scene’s Almost Crimes is close to being danceable.
  • I still haven’t changed my bedsheet. Yes, you can retch all you want, it’s okay.
  • Cross your fingers with me, I may be close to getting my dream PC in the next few weeks.

I’m sleepy. And it’s 6AM… forgive me for being so random right after ranting about sellouts.
