Klepto

Egan’s latest film is on exhibit at the Gateway Mall (Cubao). Kitch portrays the lead role of a girl with Kleptomania disorder (thus, the title). I was present during the shoots (I had to be there) and some of the editting. My job was to give side-comments and crack some of the software used. Haha.

The film was submitted as part of his thesis research in UP. There are 3 (I think) other films that was done in his class.

The filming dates of Klepto are as follows:

Friday - 7PM
Saturady - 5PM

Quoting Egan’s friendster bulletin post:

Kapag wala kayong magawa bukas hanggang sa

Homework

Here’s my excuse for my month-long hiatus: The dog ate my computer… and some parts of my blogging self. I had to kill the dog and open it to get them back.

As of press time, I am not in any mood to blog. I just feel the need to update this for the sake of my oh-so-faithful readers… and the fact that I need something written down somewhere as I tend to forget stuff. I may need to get myself a personal chronicler real soon.

So, instead of the usual 5-page (nah, not really) report, I’m submitting the outline of the significant (and nonessential) events in and around my life for the past for your reading pleasure. Enjoy.

In no particular order:

  • We got pseudo-raided. Being in this kind of industry entails a lot of attention from scalawags, rogues, scoundrels and the likes. Eventhough there isn’t any law (in the country, at least) that can incriminate us in what we do, they busted in like those guys from Miami Vice, only less dramatic and flashy. They went babbling about this law (which I can’t mention) that states that what we do is illegal. I guess they weren’t into reading long boring articles, they missed the part that it doesn’t cover electronic forms of IT.

In the end, they took home a few workstations (the high-end ones) and few million bucks. I swear I was close to hitting that guy who kept on insisting I write my name on a piece of paper. I gave him some random name that would pass for a B-movie action star.

  • Kitch went on a US vacation… left me with 2 months of singlehood (kidding). Now I’m wondering what kind of summer this will be without my daily dose of nagging & ego-tripping (pun intended). Haha. But I’m quite sure I’ll prevail.
  • My sister went with her friends on a PBB audition. She got pulled out of the loooong line, got interviewed, skipped the VTR, did the damned song and dance number, and got in. Yes, I hate the show and its clicheish theme, but who knows? But you will NEVER ever catch me singing to it.
  • Kitch and I went to Calaca, Batangas where we spent a night with her school friends at this really QUEER beach resort. Haha. You’ll know what I mean once I post the pictures. I won’t tell the name so as not to spoil the fun. In the meantime, here are some photos at Calaca church and one at that resort I was talking about.

  • Chinky asked me to do their thesis poster. Being the good friend that I am, I whole-heartedly volunteered to do it. I was told a couple of days later that it won the Best Poster Award. See the concept below:

From here you can see how I conceptualize and brainstorm with a prospective client: thru YM’s Doodle IMVironment.

    And the final output:

Notice how the concept SMOOTHLY transitioned into the final outcome.

  • My new site hosted by fil.ph is in the woodworks. Still haven’t decided what to put in it, though. One thing’s for sure: my hostess will definitely love the fact that she got rid of a webspace/bandwidth hog. Haha.
