Limited or No Connectivity

So what have I been up to for the past few weeks? (or months, using the normal calendar) Nothing, if you consider working my ass off at 5 in the morning as a regular morning ritual. I must’ve uttered “192.168.2.1″ for the nth time now… and “Apply Changes” a couple more (that’s n++). So much for nerd talk. Here are some random musings that might give you an idea of how I am doing right now:

  • I recently became a regular employee (Jan 19) and I’m damn happy about it. Hey, 3k a month more would really make my mother happy. I could just imagine how big far her smile would be she sees the electric bill being paid on the dot. And she doesnt have to make threats of disowning me anymore. Now, how can I be happy about that? Kidding.
  • My social life is almost back on track… the other half still wandering around somewhere in the corporate world. Good thing Kitch is around. Oh, and if you’re asking about my friendster pic, yes, we’re together now.
  • I moved in to a place somewhere in C-5 to compensate for the amount of time I waste just by waiting for a trike to come by at 3AM at our place back in Laguna… and to lessen the chances of bumping into the “girl hanging on the tree”. My roomies are just fine. They look like normal people leading not-so-normal-slave-driven lives… like me.
  • Work has always been like living in L.A. or Marikina, or Thailand. You get unusual spikes on the calls that are coming in, its usually the aftershocks that get into you. I could hardly imagine how big of a tsunami that would make.
  • TRIVIA: I’ve never been on a plane, flying or just on the ground, which has been one of my greatest frustrations ever since I found out that I was the only person my age (and economic status) who’s never taken the high skies for a joyride. Instead, I get joyrides in the form of large ships being tracked closely by dolphins. Yay? Not. To resolve this issue, I’m planning to take “corrective” action: I’m going to Palawan sometime in March with my gf. I’m still crossing my fingers. Join me.
  • I was supposed to do a different entry last night. Unfortunately, the computer that I was using decided to crash for some unknown reasons just when I was about to hit on the “Publish” button… Everything went kaput. In one blink, spontaneity became extinct. The machine only gave me the be-all and end-all solution: hit CTRL + ALT + Delete.

I’m in the last few minutes of my shift while doing this on my Outlook. I could almost hear the helpless caucasians screaming their guts out somewhere along the switchboards… Ring ring!!! Damn.
