The seniors outing finally pushed through last Monday.. finally. T’was so much fun. Head count: 12. Small, yes. But tis definitely one major event in my life I’m glad I didn’t miss. Dun sa mga hindi nakasama, you missed 75% of your life! (it really is greater than half.. haha). It wouldn’t be possible without the unconditional efforts of Jay, who spent his entire bum week looking for a place, inviting the other seniors, and going on a week-long retreat in the process. Thank to the people who made the whole thing fun and memorable: Buen, who was the mother/father/cook/yaya/yayo of the group, who made sure we were ok and full. Aja, who went even without Gelogs and who was the pacifier of the group. Rean, who gave that “Where is Tall Man?” LSS for three days. Millette, who gave us that uber-delicious Tuna Bread and Suman, and suggested the place to Jay. Anne, whose drunk red-face made me happy everytime I see her… to think that she only had two shots of my “special concoction”. Haha. Julie, whose laugh, drunkness, and appeal to the resort owner’s son I couldn’t forget. Tell her the corniest joke you have and she’d still laugh… Elaine, who drank every single I shot I give to her eventhough she said she won’t drink. Cha and Marvin, who both have the most number of funny bones in the world; the former sleeping the night away. Sad. Overall Fun Factor: 9 out of 10. It could be more fun if we extended for at least one more day.
Wednesday. I went to Rob East with Miggy. Luckily, we bumped into Citas and Ciello. I went “what the f*ck??!” It really had to be Ciello and Citas… damn. Citas flashed her “oh-my-god” jawdrop smile and wave while Ciello futilely hid behind her and thought I’d take them as one. Haha. Had the most number of chained smokes for a while afterwards. To keep my mind off things, we watched two movies: 50 First Dates and Butterfly Effect. Come 9pm and we were still in Rob East. I insisted on taking her home… I was so confused that night. I planned on going to the ACIL Roast, but I found out Ciello was there… go figure what I did next.
Thursday. Pigging out with Elaine, Marvin and Kit. UP Diliman. I also saw Egan while were eating at Rodic’s… Funny. I still find it surprising to see him there albeit I know he studies there. Haha. After getting their grad pics photocopied, we went back to the ACIL room and slept. 4pm. We’re back in UP with Millette and Rean. This time, gobbling up every isaw in sight. And downing a couple of gulamans afterwards. Gawd, we were so full. Bump cars at the Riverbanks minus Millette and Rean plus Nanan. Sadly, the “manong-isa-pa-po” didn’t work. Haha. While all this was happening, my sister was celebrating her 18th birthday back at home… stupid me forgot.
Friday. Graduation. I got there just in time to see Cha, Julie, Elaine, Ciello… and Jules looking like a convicted murderer peeking through the wire fence. Haha. I texted her… just to congratulate her. She replied. I smiled. And it didn’t come off until Sunday night. I saw Bam, too.. Reggie’s friend whose cousin was in the ceremony, too.
Saturday. 8pm. I found myself on a bus bound to Pampanga with Nanan and Kit. 10pm. We were there at Anne’s place. 1130pm, we were laughing our hearts out while watching our favorite show, Master Showman. (Check previous blogs.)
Sunday. Anne’s big day. I attended mass in Kapampangan, my first time to hear mass in a different language. 12pm, we were in a line of people already hungry of waiting for other people to arrive: Hello Jules, Elaine, Julie and family. 4pm. After 30 mins. of saying their goodbyes, Elaine finally went inside the car and we were off to Manila. I find it weird. Why was I not crying? I know I have the same thing about Anne leaving Manila… leaving us, her friends. I wanted her to stay, but I can’t do anything. I just hope she’d be fine there in Roxas. I wanted to cry… but I can’t. I found later on that my tears were reserved for something bigger… I brokedown on Elaine while waiting for the traffic to move on our way to her place in Bulacan.
Monday. Elaine’s job hunt day. I was her master navigator through the bewildering streets of Makati. The building was not Elaine’s type, neither mine. It was so un-corporate. Elaine thought she’d be the heartthrob if ever she’d pass the interview and for weird reasons, decide to accept the job. Haha. While she was being interviewed, I had a bonding session with Manong Guard. Haha. I bet he was also bored with his job, so he decided to strike up a conversation with me… the only soul in the lobby. He thought we were married… since I told him that we live in the same place, so I won’t have to go through the hassle of explaining where the hell in Pacita Complex I’m currently staying.
AAACHOOOO!
